It looks like 21 Savage has had enough of waiting. The British-born rapper recently jumped into Drake’s Instagram comments with a direct demand: “Drop the album dog!” The message was short but carried the weight of what fans across the globe have been saying for months now—when will Drake finally release Iceman?
So far, the 6 God has remained silent. Drake has yet to respond to 21 Savage’s comment, nor has he revealed an official release date for his highly anticipated project, which will mark his first solo album since his high-profile beef with Kendrick Lamar. However, speculation is running wild. Many insiders expect the album to arrive sometime in October or November.

Adding fuel to the fire, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel recently claimed he had the inside track on the release. “Soon, probably, around the end of October, maybe early November,” Manziel said. “Birthday coming up. Coming back to Texas after that, I’m going to take him to a game this year. He’s going to Aggie Land.”

Despite the hype, Drake’s rollout hasn’t been as smooth as fans might have hoped. Early signs suggested Iceman’s singles were poised for success, but momentum stalled. The album’s lead single, What Did I Miss?, debuted at No. 2 but quickly slipped outside the top 30 within four weeks. Another track, Which One? featuring Central Cee, entered the charts at No. 23 but failed to make a significant impact. These underwhelming performances mark some of Drake’s weakest charting efforts since 2017’s Signs.
Drizzy, however, continues to tease fans. Most recently, he discussed the album’s recording process during a Kick stream with Adin Ross, xQc, and PartyNextDoor. “I’ll stay up all night fucking recording for Iceman,” Drake revealed. “They’re having a full blown party outside. I can hear people and having a street festival all day. I’ll go out there. I’ll fucking run out there. I’ll turn up with them, do shots, come back—like, I just want a little, you know, I wanna feel it.”
While Iceman still has no concrete release date, anticipation remains sky-high. The question is whether Drake can rebound from the lukewarm reception to his singles and deliver the kind of game-changing project that has defined his dominance over the last 15 years.
One thing’s for sure: if 21 Savage’s comment is anything to go by, even Drake’s closest collaborators are ready for the wait to be over.
