Fat Joe and Young Buck’s long-simmering feud has resurfaced after the Terror Squad leader claimed he once physically confronted the former G-Unit rapper.
On a recent episode of the Joe and Jada podcast with Jadakiss, joined by guests Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda, Joey Crack revisited a previously untold story from the height of his mid-2000s beef with 50 Cent and G-Unit. According to Fat Joe, the altercation happened during that era and ended with Young Buck taking a beating.
“I caught Young Buck during that time. He got two-piece legended. That n*a tried to front on me,”** Joe said, catching both Jadakiss and Tony Yayo off guard.

Joe explained that the incident took place at a Winter Jam show in Chicago, which featured a stacked lineup including Young Jeezy and Fabolous. He claimed the confrontation happened as he was coming offstage in a dark area of the venue.
“I hear somebody from the second floor like, ‘Yo, Crack! You hear me, n*a?!’”** Joe recalled. “I look up—it’s Young Buck. I got a water bottle in my hand. I throw it at him and tell him to come downstairs. I’m losing it at this point.”
According to Joe, police quickly stepped in and formed a barricade on the staircase, delaying Buck from coming down. When he eventually did, Joe said Buck attempted to downplay the situation—something Joe didn’t buy.
“He was just talking crazy,” Joe continued. “He was testing me, trying to see if Fat Joe was soft.”
The Bronx rapper then claimed Buck briefly leaned past the police barricade, giving Joe and his entourage just enough time to strike. “Even the barber hit him,” Joe joked while recounting the moment.
Joe added that after the scuffle, Buck allegedly tried to walk back his comments and insisted he hadn’t meant any disrespect.
Young Buck, however, tells a very different version of the story.
The former G-Unit rapper responded by releasing a diss track aimed at Fat Joe titled “CAPpuccino,” using the record to challenge Joe’s account of their alleged altercation and present his own side of events.
Over a sample of Kanye West’s “Drive Slow,” Buck accuses Joe of exaggerating the incident, rapping:
“You told the story but you just had to go and twist it, thought I would miss it / You threw a bottle of water and didn’t think that I would risk it, huh? / I oughta take it there but I’m not gonna act like this is scripted / Just here to tell the truth so the fans can’t get conflicted.”
Buck also takes aim at Joe’s recent weight loss, suggesting the story was fabricated.
“No hands was put on nobody, even though I attempted / I don’t know if it’s just you, Fat Joe, or the Ozempic / But speak facts when you say my name, this ain’t the Rucker Park, I don’t play them type of games,” he adds.
Fat Joe quickly responded by doubling down on his claim, commenting on Buck’s Instagram post:
“Nah you know it’s facts old sh*t but 💯 facts sorry beloved.”
