Finesse2tymes Arrested for Drug Possession, Blames Moneybagg Yo

The HipHop Report — Finesse2Tymes is back in police custody once again, and this time he’s pointing the finger at fellow Memphis rapper Moneybagg Yo.

On Thursday (Jan. 15), Finesse2Tymes — born Ricky Hampton — was arrested in Rusk County, Texas, on multiple drug-related charges, including possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana, according to official booking records. He was later released on bond.

The arrest marks the latest in a string of recent legal troubles for the rapper. Back in September, Finesse was taken into custody in Smith County, Texas, alongside his girlfriend, Halle Buckingham, on drug charges. Just one month later, he was arrested again in Harris County, Texas, facing multiple counts of drug possession.

Following his most recent arrest, Finesse took to Instagram to place the blame on Moneybagg Yo. In a now-deleted Instagram Story posted Thursday afternoon, he claimed, “Bagg put the police on me.”

In a follow-up post, Finesse doubled down, writing:
“Y’all be wanting me to stay in jail so bad. I don’t carry nun but some za and a yerk or two. Y’all n****s some real haters.”

The accusations didn’t stop there. During an Instagram Live, Finesse alleged that Moneybagg Yo associates closely with a known informant. He also revealed that his girlfriend was arrested the same day and remains incarcerated due to an outstanding federal warrant. The rapper went on to call out artists he claims are tied to snitches and challenged anyone who disagreed to confront him directly.

The HipHop Report has reached out to the Rusk County Sheriff’s Office and Moneybagg Yo’s team for comment.
