ISTANBUL, TURKEY — The global influencer and music community is reeling after the heartbreaking news that Ana Bárbara Buhr Buldrini, a rising Brazilian singer, model, and social media star, has passed away at the age of 31 following multiple cosmetic surgery procedures in Istanbul.

Buldrini, who had amassed over 797,000 Instagram followers, reportedly traveled from Mozambique to Turkey with her husband, Elgar Sueia, to undergo a set of aesthetic surgeries — including liposuction, a nose job, and breast augmentation — at Tusa Hospital.

A Dream That Turned Tragic

According to her husband, the procedures were part of a collaboration deal with the hospital, in which Ana would promote the clinic on her social media in exchange for the surgeries. But what was supposed to be a dream transformation quickly turned into a nightmare.

Sueia told Brazilian news outlet O Tempo that Ana went into cardiorespiratory arrest just hours after surgery. He further claimed that the couple had only visited the clinic to view the facility, but the surgeon unexpectedly decided to move up the procedure to the same day — June 15 — without adequate preparation.

“She wanted to undergo these procedures to improve her aesthetic standards. It was a dream of hers,” Sueia said.

In a statement released to Turkiye Today, Tusa Hospital acknowledged that Ana experienced an “unexpected complication” during recovery. They said resuscitation was attempted for over 90 minutes, but sadly, she could not be revived.
